Robertia was a small herbivore belonging to the dicynodont group. With canine teeth on the upper jaw and a hard beak, the largest individuals were the size of cows. Have a look at the dicynodont fossil.
The dicynodonts escaped extinction between the Permian and Triassic periods, and were the most successful group of mammal-like reptiles. The last dicynodonts did not die out until the end of the Triassic.
These animals were more closely related to mammals than, for example, the sail-backed Dimetrodon.
