Nicrosaurus kapffi
Nicrosaurus was a land-dwelling predator that could be up to two and a half metres long. Although it strongly resembled a crocodile, it was only distantly related. That can be seen from the placement of the nostrils: In Nicrosaurus they were located directly in front of the eyes, while those of crocodiles are at the tip of the snout.
